What is the difference between a prepaid card and a debit card?

Like all debit cards, the Tally Debit Mastercard® is linked to an individual account number in your name. A prepaid card is often connected to a pooled account (i.e. an account shared by multiple customers), which offers less consumer protection than a debit card. Debit cards are also more widely accepted than prepaid cards.
